FLX500 Automated Multistage Assembly & Dispensing Line

Overview

The FLX500 is a custom-engineered, fully integrated multistage dispensing assembly line developed for mass production of complex industrial air and fluid filters. By incorporating two synchronized 6-DOF articulated robotic arms, intermediate rotation and lifting stations, and a high-speed Cartesian gantry, the FLX500 achieves seamless inline processing. The line is equipped with vertical elevators and a dual-decker conveyor layout to automatically recycle work pallets, guaranteeing continuous, operator-free operation for heavy-duty industrial filtration manufacturing.

Dosing Technology & Scientific Background

Multistage Kinematic Synchronization

Processing filters at high speeds requires distributing the adhesive application. The FLX500 splits tasks: the first 6-DOF robot dispenses structural adhesive into internal joints, the component is rotated and lifted at transfer stations to align secondary surfaces, the second 6-DOF robot applies sealants, and the Cartesian gantry completes the outer FIPFG gasket. This divides cycle times and increases throughput by up to 250% compared to single-cell systems.

Pallet Recycling & Lift Mechanics

To minimize footprint, the FLX500 utilizes a vertical double-decker conveyor loop. Workpieces travel along the top conveyor through the active robotic cells. Once the Cartesian gasket is applied, finished filters are transferred off-line while empty pallets are rotated, lowered by the vertical elevator tower, and sent back on the lower-level return line, utilizing space efficiently.

Technical Specifications & Core Components

Dual 6-DOF articulated arms

Two fully integrated 6-Axis industrial robotic arms programmed in tandem. Provides continuous tool-head posture correction on complex 3D profiles.

Intelligent Transfer Stations

Equipped with pneumatic rotating tables and lifting elevators. Station 2 turns parts 90°/180°, and Station 4 elevates and pivots parts to allow multi-side dispensing.

Recycling Elevator Loop

Fully automated dual elevators at intake and exit. Drops empty product fixtures to a lower level conveyor, returning them to loading stations without operator labor.

Accumulating Buffer

Station 0 accommodates a buffer conveyor holding up to 5 filters, syncing batch flows and turning from yellow to green to index automatically once full.
